Just days after having been at the Country Music Association Awards (CMA’s), Jon got behind a microphone in our studio to tell the patients at Levine Children’s Hospital all about “country music’s biggest night” – and his stories did not disappoint! Jon told us everything from where he was sitting, to what he was wearing, to almost getting to say “hi” to Tim McGraw!
A true cowboy in every way, Jon told us he gets nervous when he goes team roping – a hobby he has been doing since he was 19. “You get in the box and you got all these pro cowboys looking at you and they know my songs and then they watch me rope – it’s very nerve wracking! It’s like golf – there are so many little parts you have to remember that make it really hard.”
Jon also told us how his drummer describes being on tour, “being on the bus – being on the road – is like being at your best friend’s house, sleeping over, for way too long.” He told us he travels with a “light crew” of nine people on one bus! Jon said that was light because his friend, Dustin Lynch (also a friend to Seacrest Studios) travels with 13 people!
A special performance of Jon’s hit song, “Up All Night,” thrilled patients at Levine Children’s Hospital!
Thank you, Jon Pardi, for bringing the party to Seacrest Studios! We can’t wait until your next visit!
