Madisyn Shipman Talks About ‘Game Shakers’ In Seacrest Studios Charlotte

Video and Recap by: Maxwell Millington, Seacrest Studios Intern

Patients in Seacrest Studios at Levine Children’s Hospital welcomed actress Madisyn Shipman of Nickelodeon’s new sitcom, “Game Shakers.” Madisyn is a 7th grader both in real life and on her TV show where she co-stars with NICK legend Kel Mitchell. “He calls himself ‘Uncle Kel’ on set, and he just brings all the energy up and he’s a great guy to work with”, Madisyn says.

On the show, Madisyn plays a girl named Kenzie who develops a fun game on the App Store called “Sky Whale”. Some might call her character “geeky” but she says she doesn’t mind at all. She admits, “Everyone has that geeky side of themselves, and I definitely do! Kenzie is a fun and creative character to play, and I can definitely relate to her.” Madisyn also adores all kinds of animals, her favorite being her pet chameleon named “Tails.”

After the interview, we put Madisyn’s celeb knowledge to the test with a game of “Celebrity Mash Up” before she took pictures and signed autographs for patients. She also helped our interns make a fun lip sync video to Adele’s “Hello.”

Many thanks to Madisyn for a special day in studio.
