Conrad Sewell, 5SOS and Selena Gomez Visit Seacrest Studios In Philadelphia

It was a busy day at Seacrest Studios at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia! With many artists in town for Jingle Ball 2015, a few decided to stop by the hospital first and spread a little holiday cheer. The afternoon kicked off with Conrad Sewell, best known for his hit song, “Hold Me Up” sitting behind the studio mic!  Kids were fascinated to learn that perhaps, like Conrad, they should start early and send out songs in addition to their letters to Santa if they want to hit it big.

On the heels of Conrad, 5 Seconds of Summer made a welcomed return visit. Their charisma was infectious as fans eagerly asked questions and joked around with the group, learning about everything from their girlfriends to proper towel color selection. The “She Looks So Perfect” singers encouraged everyone to check out their new film “How Did We End Up Here” while appropriately reminiscing on their whirlwind ride to stardom. As everyone rushes to grab copies of 5SOS’s new album, Sounds Good Feels Good, it’s easy to see how their “motivation starts with the fans.” They were quick to note, however, that they wanted to stick around and do some stargazing of their own at the day’s final visitor, Selena Gomez.

Selena sat down to another packed audience to chat about her own new album, Revival, and her experiences with acting. Clearly excited about her latest work, Selena told everyone she really drew on her emotions over the year it took to write and produce Revival. She said “Kill Them With Kindness” meant so much to her because it was a chance for her to sing a great song with a better meaning. Whether she was singing in studios, closets, or hotel rooms, Selena had a great time recording!  Selena explained to the crowd that she was dramatic as a child and is “still dramatic;” so much so that she potentially sees a future where her vocals take a back seat to an acting career.

Before completing her interview, Selena reminded her fans that they need passion to achieve their goals and revealed a sentiment that seemed to be shared by all of the day’s visitors: “There is a difference between being famous and being successful,” and you have to work hard and never take no for an answer in order to do that.

Many thanks to all of our special guests for their awesome visits in studio!

CHOC Patients attend KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball!

There were smiles filling up the Staples Center, as Children Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) patients Robert and Lorena, along with their guests, got a VIP experience at the annual holiday showcase. Performing their biggest hits of the year, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Austin Mahone, New Politics, Travie McCoy, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Fifth Harmony WOW-ed the crowd, and even made time to meet some of their biggest fans before hitting the stage.

Robert and Lorena were first in line, posing for photos with the X-Factor stars: Fifth Harmony. Selena Gomez then extended open arms, calming the star-struck group with her sweet disposition and friendly conversation. Miley Cyrus shook hands with the patients, showing her silly side in photos, and reminding everyone to stay through the whole show to see her performance. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis made their way backstage, giving each fan the opportunity to pose for a photo in between the dynamic duo. CHOC patient, Robert, greeted Ariana Grande, complimenting her angelic outfit by saying, “you look like you should be at the top of a Christmas tree.”

The high-energy night was topped off with a visit from Ryan Seacrest himself, shaking hands with just a few of the people that his foundation has touched.

You can find all the great pictures and video from this truly special night on KIIS’s FM’s website!

Thank you to everyone at KIIS FM for making it such a memorable night!

Selena Gomez Surprises Patients At Seacrest Studios!

RSF ambassador, Selena Gomez, surprised patients at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC when she made an unannounced stop, on a Sunday afternoon, at Seacrest Studios just before her concert at the Time Warner Cable Arena.

Patients crowded in to hear Selena talk about her Stars Dance tour.  Gomez told patients all about packing for a long tour, her travel schedule, and being on the road with her opening act – Emblem3!  Selena told fans that, where she’s from and who she surrounds herself with helps keep her feet on the ground.  She also mentioned that if she could have any talent in the world, it would be to be a good cook!

To the delight of our animal-loving patients, Selena revealed that she has 6 dogs waiting for her at home! Her dog’s names are Chip, Fina, Wallace, Willie, Baylor, and Chaz.

Selena’s down-to-earth personality and warm visit put patients at ease.  What a fantastic Sunday surprise for Levine Children’s Hospital! Thanks Selena for the great surprise!

Emblem3 Performs “Chloe” At Seacrest Studios!

Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC, became Fan Club Central when Emblem3, the pop rock group from Washington, wowed patients who had gathered at Seacrest Studios for the trio’s appearance.  The air was electric with excitement as this talented group reached out to greet, and sing to, patients.

Brothers, Keaton and Wesley Stromberg, and their childhood friend, Drew Chadwick, are storming the pop rock/reggae music scene with their hit Chloe (You’re the One That I Want) from their debut album Nothing to Lose.  Levine Children’s Hospital was lucky enough to hear their acoustic rendition of the hit single!

The recording artists entertained a jam-packed studio with stories about their interests, road tour (Goin’ Back 2 Cali), and X Factor USA experience.  The boys accepted an invitation to appear on the hit show and then impressed judge, Simon Cowell, so much that he signed them to his record label.

Emblem3’s success has been nothing short of meteoric.  The group snagged a sweet gig performing as one of the opening acts for Selena Gomez on her Stars Dance Tour later this month.

Emblem3 charmed the patients at Levine Children’s Hospital and left many in Charlotte looking forward to a return visit to Seacrest Studios. A big thank you to them for stopping by!
