Dierks Bentley Plays 'Would You Rather' at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
Written by Seacrest Studio intern, Mckenziee Belton
Seacrest Studios at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia was thrilled to welcome country music star Dierks Bentley! Along with our amazing host DJ Cool Dre, our patients and families asked some incredible questions, some even flossing with Bentley when he lost a dare. Dierks played would you rather, where he had to guess what our friends here at CHOP chose and if he guessed wrong, he had to choose a dare from our special game hat. During the game we found out that he would rather be Moana over Elsa, and chose superman over batman. He also told us about his love for ice hockey and how he used to bring his gear on the road with him, but now his son has inherited his love for the sport. When asked about his pre-tour rituals, we learned that he and his crew not only listen to music together and talk about what they are grateful for, but at times they even prank one another.
Bentley told us that he met his wife in 8th grade which is around the same time his love for country music began to grow. He loves the outdoors, as he is an avid mountain climber and fly fisher. A gift his mom gave him when he was younger inspired his hobby for flying which influenced him to get his pilot's license and allows him now to spend more time with his three children and wife.
Before leaving to get ready for his tour, he gave some awesome advice to our friends here at CHOP who might want to start a career in the music industry: "Be passionate about it and to really love what you do." Thanks for stopping by Seacrest Studios, Dierks!
