Seacrest Studios #10 Turns 3!
Written by Studio Manager, Mamie Shepherd
Seacrest Studios Nashville was drippin' in finesse when it brought out the gold to celebrate three years in Music City at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. A Bruno Mars-themed party, complete with the Bruno Mars wax figure from Madame Tussauds Nashville, included a lip sync battle between the hospital Child Life Assistants and the Nashville Soccer Club, a selfie booth, cake, and visits from NFL star, Mohamed Massaquoi, and country singer, Cale Dodds.
"24K Magic" and OutKast's "Hey Ya!" kicked off lip sync battles with the Nashville Soccer Club. The players proved to everyone that their talents go beyond the soccer field to the green screen!
NFL star, Mohamed Massaquoi, made a dedicated trip to Nashville to share his inspiring, life-changing story of going from the football field to the ER and how an injury changed everything for him. He now wears a state-of-the art, prosthetic hand that has given him a platform to encourage others who face challenges. Mohamed's message was that illness/injuries do not have to define us, and it truly inspired patients, families, and guests.
Country singer, Cale Dodds, currently on tour with Chase Rice, stopped during a whirlwind turn through Nashville to play games, sing a song, and even have a dance-off with a patient! Our thanks to Cale for his generous sacrifice of time.
Thank you to all of the friends, patients, families, staff, and supporters who have made three years at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital ones to remember! One, two, three, and one to keep growing on in Music City!
