Patients Sing 'Keep Your Head Up' With Andy Grammer At Seacrest Studios
Recap by: Kara Sikorski, Seacrest Studios Intern
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center was thrilled to host Andy Grammer for his ninth visit to a Seacrest Studios! Patients in the studio and those who were watching and called in from their rooms were able to ask Andy questions about his music career, his favorite Disney characters, and eating cookies at Taylor Swift’s house. One particularly star struck fan wanted to know why Andy is so good-looking!
Andy performed one of his biggest hits, “Fine By Me,” and participated in a sing-along with the children to “Keep Your Head Up”. The kids enjoyed singing along to his uplifting and enlightening lyrics. He talked about his start in the music industry, which he owes to his father, Red Grammer, a Grammy-nominated children’s performer. He played a lot of basketball before getting his start in music in 9th grade. He also encouraged the children to chase their dreams, as he did while performing on the streets of Santa Monica, California. Andy also played “Name That Sound: Movie Edition,” where we learned that he has quite a bit of Disney knowledge! Cincinnati Children’s was happy to host such a kind and talented performer, and we can’t wait to see Andy again soon.
