A Whirlwind Afternoon With Maddie Poppe

American Idol winner, Maddie Poppe stopped by Seacrest Studios at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta recently, to the delight of her many fans. It was a relaxed and joyful afternoon of fun as Maddie talked to patients about what a blur the last two years have been since winning Idol…hence the title of her latest album, “Whirlwind.” A skilled (but amateur) graphic artist, the popular singer has designed all of her previous single covers. 

The self-proclaimed perfectionist admitted that one of her biggest challenges has been learning to let go a little bit – since she likes to be in control. Maddie performed two songs and talked about her excitement over joining Ingrid Michaelson on her upcoming Tour. She also said she hopes to someday be on Ellen and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon since she’s a big fan of both. Because of that, it seemed only fitting to close the visit with a Whisper Challenge with one ofher fans. (We can add “excellent lip reader” to Maddie’s list of talents!)
