Celebrating Creativity: Canon's Partnership Impact on Patients
In Seacrest Studios, we are always seeking unique experiences for patients, and thanks to our incredible partnership with Canon, we recently had the opportunity to do just that for one special patient at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC): Dante.
Dante had the time of his life during a recent photo shoot in Seacrest Studios, an experience that gave him something to look forward to during his hospital stay. For Dante, this was more than just a fun activity; it was a new creative outlet—completely different from his usual routine. Inspired by others online, Dante has taken a keen interest in miniature figurine photography. In the studio, he was able to use a professional camera for the very first time, an exciting experience that brought his vision to life. He was blown away by how well his figures were captured through the lens.
During the shoot, Dante explored new photography techniques—experimenting with depth of field, lighting, and focus to see how these elements transformed his images. The joy was evident as he learned to manipulate the camera and create a result he was proud of.
Since the shoot, Dante has shared his photos with family and friends, who were all thoroughly impressed by his talent. He continues to build his collection of action figure shots, and we’re excited to see where his passion for photography takes him next.
It’s moments like these that remind us how powerful creativity can be in a patient’s journey—and how meaningful it is to provide opportunities for patients like Dante to explore their passions. Thank you, Canon, for helping us make these moments possible!
