Country Artist Breland Goes ‘Cross Country’ with Seacrest Studios!
Washington, DC – From The Garden State to Music City— Breland’s songs are a melting pot of genres including country, hip hop, R&B and more! He stopped by Seacrest Studios at Children’s National Hospital to have some fun with patients and staff!
But first, the studio team had to have a little fun of their own. Breland is known for wearing a pair of round metal glasses, both on stage and off. Without him knowing, studio staff handed out circular glasses to everyone in studio. They kicked off the visit by asking everyone to put their glasses on to match our guest—leading to an eruption of laughter from patients and Breland, as he entered the studio.
Breland talked about some of his favorite artists—ranging from Shania Twain to Nelly—and shared what it’s like navigating a new realm of music. He credits a positive outlook and determination for getting him to where he is now. Sharing with patients his message for getting through tough times; “Treat people with kindness and pursue your dreams.”
But he’s more than just a musician... Breland demonstrated one of his secret talents while in the studio—juggling. And while Breland got to show off one of his hidden talents, so did our studio staff at Children’s National. Re-writing the words to one of Breland’s hit songs, DJ Kit Kat and DJ Doodles performed their rendition titled “Pump it Up” with the help of Breland and patients in the studio! Thank you, Breland, for taking some time to jam out with us in Seacrest studios!
