Derek Hough Busts A Move At Boston Children’s!
Derek Hough visits Seacrest Studios
Professional dancer, New York Times Best-selling author, and Emmy-award winner Derek Hough danced through Seacrest Studios at Boston Children’s Hospital Monday, April 21st. On a day off from his first solo dance tour, Derek Hough Live!, Derek said he was so excited to hang out in the studio!
Fans of Dancing with the Stars and NBC’s World of Dance gathered eagerly in the studio for a great Q & A, where Derek talked all things dancing, his favorite snack, and superheroes! Derek is very excited for the new Avengers movie, as are patients too! He also performed a few off-the-cuff magic tricks for fans who cheered for more!
Derek had so much fun with the patients, especially baby Quinn who crawled for the first time since surgery while Derek played the guitar! Dancing is that infectious, he reiterated. Another lucky patient performed an impromptu salsa rendition with Derek during a game of Dancing Charades. It was magical!
Derek also took the chance to gush about dancers recently on his show, World of Dance - even pulling out his phone to show patients a clip from the prior night’s episode. One Mom gushed, “My son fell asleep just before this one!” Patients leaned in close to get a glimpse of the video. It was clear everyone was reveling in the intimate moment with Derek.
Sadly, the time came for the show to end, but not until Derek took a photo with all the patients he’d laughed and danced with during the hour. He even signed autographs for callers and patients upstairs!
It was such a special afternoon that brought us all so much joy. Thanks for spreading the positivity, Derek! Good luck on your tour. We can’t wait to dance with you again soon!
