British singer-songwriter-sweetheart Ed Sheeran recently added a surprise stop on his tour: Seacrest Studios at Boston Children’s Hospital!
Patients and families flooded the studio and the connecting Patient Entertainment Center to hang with Ed— making this the most attended VIP visit at Seacrest Studios in Boston ever! Excited Ed Sheehan fans came equipped with handmade signs, cards for him, and instruments to be signed. He also had some very excited callers from upstairs on the units! Ed answered questions from patients including “What is your hidden talent?” (Making a funny popping noise with his mouth) and “Where is the coolest place you’ve ever been to?” (Manila in the Philippines)!
After the interview, Ed pulled out his guitar and sang for his audience. The whole crowd, was in awe of Ed’s flawless live vocals. First, he took a request from an in-studio super-fan who was seated next to him! He played an amazing rendition of her favorite song, “Lego House”. Then everyone in the crowd joined Ed in singing his most recent hit, “Shape of You”. Ed also took the time to sing a very special “Happy Birthday” to a young patient sitting at the studio desk!
Before he left to get ready for his show, Ed stuck around to meet and sign autographs for every patient and family member in attendance, which we estimate to be over 300 people! He also made some special video messages on parent cell phones for patients who couldn’t make it down to meet him in person. Ed’s generosity and talent warmed a lot of hearts at Boston Children’s Hospital. Thank you so much, Ed! You’re welcome at Seacrest Studios anytime!
