Jet Jurgensmeyer Visits Seacrest Studios Cincinnati!

Seacrest Studios at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center loved hosting Disney Channel and Nickelodeon star Jet Jurgensmeyer.
He drove from his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee to visit the studio, answer questions, and play a game. Jet has a number of roles in commercials, series, and movies, but some of his favorites are in Disney Channel’s 100th original movie Adventures in Babysitting and the upcoming TV movie Legends of the Hidden Temple. Jet loves to goes to school, plays guitar, and even watches Star Wars. He also shared that one of his dreams is to play college basketball: he goes to basketball camp each summer to prepare and practice his skills.
We learned many other fun facts about Jet. He revealed that he would love to work with Tom Hanks and recommends everyone watch Toy Story and Forest Gump. In addition, he’s an avid sports fan and locals were thrilled to hear that Jet has Cincinnati Bengals player Andy Dalton on his fantasy football team. Finally, he gave us the inside scoop on one of his roles: he wore a fat suit when he played Spanky in The Little Rascals Save the Day!
Jet discussed battling adversity and said when he doesn’t get a role he wants, he looks to his parents for guidance and tries to remember, “everything happens for a reason.” If someone wants to be an actor, Jet stresses that it takes patience, time, and effort. He is constantly working on his craft because people aren’t born amazing actors. He highly recommends acting because “you get to meet lots of interesting people and do many interesting things.” If people haven’t tried it, they should definitely consider and no matter what, Jet tells listeners to follow their dreams. Following the interview, Jet dominated in Name that Disney Channel Show and was happy that the game included some of his favorites. Jet stuck around to take pictures and sign autographs. He loved visiting the studio and thanked everyone for the awesome questions.
