Joe Gatto Spreads Smiles at Seacrest Studios, Memphis

Improvisational comedian, actor and producer, Joe Gatto, visited Seacrest Studios at Le Bonheur Children’s in Memphis, TN on Thursday, October 3rd to spread laughter and joy among the patients.

Joe talked about how he got inspiration from his son for his new children’s book “Where’s Bearry?” and revealed that his son tells some very good jokes as well! Joe answered audience questions about the popular improv show that he started with his friends from high school called “Impractical Jokers.” One patient asked Joe which moment he was most proud of on the show while another patient asked him what animal noise he could do the best. Joe showed the audience his dolphin impression that made everyone giggle! Some patients even told their own one-line jokes.

Gatto showed off his comedic skills as he played charades with the patients and families. Right before the game, Joe said to everyone, “I’m very good at charades!” and he proved it. Every charade was guessed quickly as he breezed through the game to a lot of laughter. Joe and the patients also competed in a Where’s Waldo style game of Where’s Bearry? Patients expertly found the hidden stuffed bear from his book in each image.

The show wrapped up with Joe signing autographs as well as signing copies of his book for families to take home! Several patients told Joe they are huge fans of Impractical Jokers and couldn’t believe they were meeting him in person. One father came into the studio and showed Joe a picture they took together years ago when they are on the same cruise. Families made joyful memories that will hopefully last a lifetime
