Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls rocks out in Dallas!
The Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik visited the Seacrest Studios at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and entertained the audience with some tunes. His band is responsible for dozens of smash hit singles; including, “Iris”, “Black Balloon,” and “Slide.” The Goo Goo Dolls are currently on tour with Matchbox Twenty and are promoting their tenth album “Magnetic”.
Rzeznik has been part of the band for more than two decades. “It feels good. A lot of bands don’t get the chance to do that,” he said. “I get to meet amazing people like all of you and travel all over the world.” The rocker opened up about his long-time fans and the evolution of his music through the years. He caught the attention of his young fans by talking cars. “I like the Stingray Corvette with a split-back window,” patient Jacob McCaskill said. “It’s like a ’60 something.” Rzeznik told the kids that his favorite car that he had ever owned was a 1967 Pontiac. Patient Dylan Gonzales said he has just one favorite. “A Bugatti.”
Rzeznik wrapped up his visit with an acoustic performance of “Slide” and his new hit “Come To Me”. He also left the audience with some words of wisdom. “You are absolutely perfect exactly the way you are. You never have to doubt yourself because you are exactly who you are supposed to be, and you are exactly the way you are supposed to be.” Thanks for such a special visit!
