Patients from ten different children’s hospitals all over the country had a rockin’ afternoon as they tuned in for a live show and Q&A with country trio Restless Road! The visit was hosted by Seacrest Studios at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and included other RSF studios in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Denver, D.C., Orange County, Orlando, AND Philadelphia! Band members Zach Beeken, Colton Pack and Garrett Nichols fielded patient’s questions about their favorite rides at Disney World, their favorite animals, their favorite video games, their pre-show rituals, and, of course, their upcoming tour with country star Kane Brown. 

Beeken and Pack met in 2013 as solo contestants on The X Factor, and later discovered Nichols from videos he posted on Vine. Fast forward a few years, and they’ve released their debut, self-titled EP, plus a brand-new single. When asked about what they’re most looking forward to on tour, the trio said they’re “excited to meet new people, get back out on stage, and have a good time!” Guitars in hand, Restless Road turned “Let It Go” from Frozen and Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” into country tunes, and performed four original songs—“Take Me Home”, “It Ain’t Easy”, “One Step Ahead”, and their new single, “Took One Look at Her Momma.”

During the visit, patients and studio managers across the country sported beanies from Love Your Melon, an organization dedicated to supporting children battling cancer in America. Restless Road also shared the band’s catch phrase: “Keep your eyes on the road!” — a simple yet impactful slogan about looking forward and staying positive, even in the toughest of times. The Ryan Seacrest Foundation is so grateful to Restless Road for sharing their time and talent, and we can’t wait for our next visit with them!
