As contemporary christian artist Lauren Daigle greeted patients at the Dallas Seacrest Studios, compassion and intentionality accompanied every single interaction. On March 5, the Grammy award winner was interviewed by patients from Children’s Health and took extra time to get to know patients in the studio and in their rooms. Dallas patient Hailey shined during the interview, asking Lauren thought-provoking questions. They were so good, Lauren and many other guests in attendance asked if Hailey was a professional at only 13 years old! Lauren even invited Hailey to attend her World Tour concert later that night, where Hailey was highlighted during a special shout at her first concert ever!

Lauren gave us the scoop on her past and present pets, what inspires her and details about her latest music video from her hit “Rescue,” filmed in the snowy mountains of Alaska. However, we could not finish the interview without a beautiful cover of “You Say” by Dallas patient Kailyn, who performed for Lauren through a live video feed from her hospital room. Lauren also spent time with patients in their rooms, including Children’s Health patient, Joshua, who even created a music video to show Lauren as well. 

Lauren’s joyful spirit was contagious and brought joy to everyone she met. We are very grateful she stopped by and we hope to catch up with LD the next time she is in town! Until then, her music will continue to blare through the speakers of our studio and play throughout the rooms of Children’s Health as we sing along to her beautiful and relatable lyrics.
