Lee Brice Surprises Patients From Tour Bus
Written by Seacrest Studios Manager, Mamie Shepherd
He’s had eight #1 hits, racked up CMA and ACM Awards, and most recently, country music superstar, Lee Brice, added even more fans to his roster of followers when he called in to Seacrest Studios at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN.
Reaching out from his tour bus, Lee thrilled patients with a mini-concert and peek inside the singer/songwriter’s studio on wheels! Complete with a recording setup and even an awesome blue fridge, Lee’s bus revealed his home away from home.
A patient watching, who loves music, was able to ask Lee questions about creating songs and playing bass guitar (Lee loves to write using the bass). This gracious artist talked about the time Garth Brooks recorded one of his songs, and he even told us a little about his writing process – he likes to record his songs as he writes them!
After a patient told Lee his favorite song was the star’s hit, “Rumor,” Lee serenaded everyone watching with that very tune! What a thrill for 11 floors of fans!
No rumor about it – the fact is we loved our visit with Lee Brice, and hope he will visit us again soon! Thank you, Lee!
