Mac Powell Performs for Patients in Atlanta

Patients and families at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta were thrilled to meet and hear a live performance from one of their favorites – former founder and front man of the band, Third Day, Mac Powell! 

Now touring as a solo artist, the multi-Grammy award winner shared the joys and challenges of balancing a successful 30-year music career with raising 5 kids with his wife and former high school sweetheart, Aimee. Just like Mac, several of his children are musically inclined and have even joined him on tour as part of the band. 

We learned that Mac loves BBQ, supporting the Atlanta Braves and has some excellent Dad jokes at the ready. After performing a 3-song set in Seacrest Studios Atlanta, one overjoyed patient aptly described his voice as “a warm hug.” We couldn’t agree more!
