Pete Davidson Brings Nothing But Laughs To Children's National
We couldn’t stop laughing when comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson stopped by Seacrest Studios at Children’s National in Washington, D.C. while in town for his comedy tour. Pete even brought along two of his friends who are on the comedy tour with him – Derek Gaines and Dave Sirus! The trio popped in to a packed house of patients and families who were eagerly anticipating the belly laughs to come!
Pete mentioned that he loves to travel with Derek and David because they are two of his closest friends. Pete said him and Derek used to be roommates! Dave and Pete met when they worked on a comedy series together and the trio loved making new friends with all of our patients during their visit!
Patient DJs were fully prepared to ask our funny stars the silliest of questions during the interview. We learned that Pete loves Harry Potter and considers himself to be in the Gryffindor house. We also learned that Pete is a self-proclaimed mama’s boy! Kids were also ready to challenge the comedians in a silly improv game: DC patients were spilt into three teams and were tasked to work together to create silly scenarios for the comedians to act out. One group challenged Pete Davidson to pretend like he was Beyoncé shopping in a grocery store!
It was a very special moment when Pete and the gang met DJ Danielle who had her official last day of chemotherapy right before their visit! Pete, Dave and Derek were so happy for Danielle and gave her big bear hugs and a roaring applause! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! The visit wasn’t complete until the trio met and took pictures with all their new studio friends!
Wacky Wednesdays will never be the same after meeting the three silliest celebs to ever visit Seacrest Studios at Children’s National! Our guests brought so many smiles to our patients and families and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you! We hope you stop by again next time you visit the Nation’s Capital!
