Snow Couldn’t Stop The Avett Brothers From Meeting New Friends In Seacrest Studios
Video by: Chance Harris
Recap by: Paula Cuadrado
The Avett Brothers packed up their instruments and ventured out in the snow to see some special young fans in Seacrest Studios at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Scott, Seth, Joe and Bob all picked out a different set of fuzzy animal headphones to wear during the interview at Seacrest Studios. We knew they’d be up for some fun after seeing a video of the band members dressed up as characters of the Wizard of Oz last Halloween. Seventeen-year-old Tariq even correctly guessed which costumes each person wore.
Christopher, 9, took detailed notes when the band answered his important questions, such as, “How long have y’all been playing?” We also learned how they met and some of their favorite foods. After the interview, the band pulled out their instruments – a banjo, guitar, stand-up bass and a cello – and rocked some of their songs. The crowd in studio was all smiles and everyone was jamming to the music and clapping to the beat. It’s not every day you get to see a performance like this! Thank you to The Avett Brothers for coming to Seacrest Studios and performing a unique concert for our patients! We loved meeting you and enjoyed your music! What a special day!
