Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind Visits Cincinnati Children's Hospital

Cincinnati, OH – The kids and families at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital were pleasantly surprised by Third Eye Blind lead singer and frontman, Stephan Jenkins, who stopped by Seacrest Studios for some additional fun during the #2024SummerGodsTour!

Patients were eager to share what they felt makes Cincinnati special with Jenkins, one of the common denominators was of course, Skyline Chili. Jenkins, after being made aware of the spaghetti and chili combo, couldn’t believe that people “actually eat that stuff.” “It sounds like leftovers,” Jenkins protested. One thing Jenkins will eat however, is Matcha ice cream. The studio’s honorary question of, “Which ice cream flavor best represents you,” was at first puzzling to Jenkins.

“Matcha,” answered Jenkins. “It’s not something that you want all the time, but in small bites it’s good.” Now, the kids at the Cincinnati studio have something to try, and so does Jenkins!

Greyson, a current Cincinnati Seacrest Studios MVP, asked Jenkins to share the meaning behind the band name Third Eye Blind. “Honestly, I thought it would look cool on a t-shirt,” Jenkins exclaimed. “But we never even made t-shirts!”

Another visitor asked Jenkins, “What’s your favorite song that you’ve written?” Jenkins provided two answers, stating that he loves the music he’s currently writing because it’s new, exciting and fresh. However, of the songs he’s written in the past, his favorite would have to be “Wounded” off their second studio album “Blue.”

“I love touring because it spreads joy,” explained Jenkins. The visit was certainly a joyful moment in Seacrest Studios, as parents, friends and patients came together to enjoy the music of Stephan Jenkins and Third Eye Blind.
