Violinist Lindsey Stirling Brightens Day for Patients at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children’s Seacrest Studios

Orlando, FL — In a heartwarming event that brought joy and inspiration, renowned violinist Lindsey Stirling visited Seacrest Studios at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Known for her dynamic performances that blend violin, singing, and dancing, Stirling's visit was a highlight for the young patients, offering them a memorable experience before her sold-out "Duality Tour" in Orlando.

Stirling played an interactive game with patients where participants listened to short music clips and then had to determine whether the songs were composed by Ludwig van Beethoven or Johann Sebastian Bach. The game, led by studio interns, provided both fun and educational moments for the children.

Following the game, Stirling took the time to answer a variety of questions from patients. The questions ranged from lighthearted to introspective. For instance, when asked by patient Shepard about her favorite Pokémon, Stirling revealed her fondness for Jigglypuff. Another patient, Ella, inquired about Stirling's pre-performance routine. Stirling shared that she spends about an hour warming up, stretching with her dancers, and performing breathing exercises to manage her anxiety before taking the stage.

Patient Colton also had the opportunity to join Stirling and the studio interns on-air. He discussed his journey with music, expressing his current exploration of different musical styles. Colton revealed how much he liked playing Stirling’s songs in the virtual reality rhythm game Beat Saber and told her how much her music has impacted him.

The event culminated with Stirling performing a few of her latest songs live in the studio. Patients then met with her one-on-one and received autographed photos to mark the occasion. Stirling’s visit brought smiles to the young patients and emphasized how the power of music can connect people and uplift spirits during challenging times.
