Wrabel Brightens Up The Day For Patients In DC!
Wrabel’s trip to our Nation’s capital wasn’t complete without a visit to Seacrest Studios at Children’s National!
Patients, families and staff gave him a warm Washington D.C. welcome when he arrived. One patient even grabbed Wrabel’s hand and walked him around the studio, giving him a special VIP tour and introducing him to our hospital mascot, Dr. Bear. After greeting all of our patients in the studio, Wrabel excitedly sat down at the mic and happily answered all of our questions.
One patient asked him what inspires him to write songs and he said that life plays a big part in his lyrics. He described his music as full of emotion and relatable. He shared that he is always inspired to write music. We asked what he does with his song ideas and he told us that there may be times he will wake up during the middle of the night with an idea and will write it down in a notebook. He also said that he has written lyrics down on airplane napkins so that he won’t forget.
While on-air, Wrabel mentioned that he has a teddy bear named Peter who comforts him when he’s traveling and on tour. One by one, our patients lifted their favorite stuffed animal in the air, showing Wrabel that they too have comfort stuffies. Of course, we had to ask if he knew any songs from the movie Frozen. He eagerly said yes and even sang a few verses of “Let it Go” with our patients!
Wrabel topped off his visit with pictures and autographs for all of our patients and families. He even went home with his very own Dr. Bear stuffed teddy to remind him of his first Seacrest Studios visit.
Thank you Wrabel for making our day a little brighter and we hope you can visit Children’s National again soon!
